OQ Technology Wins EU Cybersecurity Project
Luxembourg, 27 June 2024 – OQ Technology, through it subsidiary in Greece, has won an EU tender regarding Security Assessments for Networks and Services in 5G, short named as “SAND5G”.
OQ Technology was part of a consortium of multiple companies that bid for the project with success.
The project is part of the Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL)-JU-SIMPLE and aims to deliver a risk and impact assessment platform to support 5G stakeholders secure their systems and services, also to support National Authorities and Member States’ Regulators to have a view on the security status and applied measures that implement their national cybersecurity strategies and legislation which is in line with European 5G cybersecurity policies and proposed EU toolbox for 5G security.
The project will be developed in three years by a competitive consortium of seven partners; OQ Technology Hellas, University of Patras, P-NET, Sphynx Hellas, WINGS ICT Solutions, Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy, and Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance.
Within the project, OQ Technology will provide a satellite NTN IoT pilot to evaluate two possible network architectures for OQ satellites (Transparent and Regenerative), using 5G Core Network and deploying communication with field IoTs. OQ will also be responsible of delivering an Interim report on Dissemination, Exploitation, Standardization & Sustainability.
