Florida, 1 April 2022 - OQ Technology, a space-based 5G IoT communication company, is advised that their Tiger-3 satellite mission is targeted to launch on the 1st of April 2022 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida with a launch window opening at 12:24 p.m. ET, or 16:24 UTC onboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 Transporter-4 mission.
The Tiger-3 5G IoT payload is hosted on Nanoavionics MP42 microsatellite and will be deployed into a 525km Sun Synchronous orbit.
The launch will be livestreamed on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku9HeWtOfQs
The latest forecast shows a 30% chance of favorable liftoff conditions, for updates refer to the SpaceX twitter account: https://twitter.com/SpaceX .
OQ’s ‘cell-tower inside the satellite’ technology aims to provide real-time global connectivity with ultra-reliable low latency communication (URLLC) and massive machine type communications (mMTC) for applications in rural and remote areas. The company’s 5G IoT/M2M communication constellation is particularly suited for applications in industries such as oil, gas, logistics, mining and defence. Following the global standard of 3GPP of narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), allows OQ to provide a cost effective and highly scalable system as well as access to a large ecosystem of cellular chip vendors and operators.
