Product Assurance Engineer - Space Industry

As our wireless technologies are constantly evolving and winning multiple awards, with funding for the next phase secured, and commercial traction demonstrated, we are now looking to on-board a talented Product Assurance Engineer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and implement product assurance and quality assurance plans tailored to specific space projects, including verification and validation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable space industry standards (e.g., ECSS standards) throughout project phases.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to product quality and reliability, implementing effective risk management strategies.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, inspections, and reviews to verify adherence to quality procedures and product specifications.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution of non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented, verified, and documented.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality assurance standards are met across the supply chain.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed PA/QA documentation, including quality reports, audits, and product release certificates.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to integrate - PA/QA best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of working on space projects, with familiarity in applying ECSS standards.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and practices within the space domain.
  • Experience with non-conformance management, corrective action implementation, and quality assurance processes in space projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and present information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Experience in supply chain quality assurance and working with subcontractors in the space industry is an asset.
  • Familiarity with lightweight and composite structures quality assurance within the context of space missions is an asset.
  • Experience in risk management and tools is an asset.
  • Certifications or training in ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality standards is an asset.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
