Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
  • Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
  • Review code and design
  • Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
  • Integrate and validate new product designs
  • Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
  • Provide post production support
  • Interface with hardware design and development
  • Assess third party and open source software
  • Identify requirements and participate in design & specification generation activities.
  • Design and implement hands-on features for of the embedded software and firmware of the user terminals and the payload
  • Generate creative, technically sound solutions, and rapidly prototype them to support proof-of-concept experiments.
  • Review of standards and explore modern wireless and telecommunication standards.
  • Design modem system (including physical layer procedures performance) based on wireless standards and product requirements and set system performance targets for wireless subsystems.
  • Design and implementation of transceiver digital baseband processing after RF phase up to the final detection.
  • Implementation of the digital algorithms using C/C++, MATLAB, or VHDL.
  • Design and develop user terminal architecture
  • Design develop and test on embedded electronics software for user terminal architecture
  • Interface with RF front-end hardware supplier to ensure consistency of telecom solution architecture with modem system requirements, such as RF performance, system control architecture, HW /SW interface architectures, and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Develop system performance models and drive cross-functional system engineering tasks related to system performance optimization.
  • Interact with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers with a wide range of skill sets including but not limited to software development, firmware development, hardware development, data analysis, and RF design

  • Explore modern techniques and unconventional methods for algorithm design and problem-solving.
  • Participate in project management and planning activities.
  • Contribute to the management and technical documentation for project reviews.
  • Prepare the management and technical documentation for project reviews.

Key Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. in Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • 3+ years of experience with embedded software development for telecommunication and radio systems and complex S/W debugging especially for PHY, L1 and L2 of the 3GPP protocol stack.
  • Proven experience with Software-Defined Radios and ARM microprocessor.
  • Programming experience in at least one high level language (C, C++, Object-Oriented design, etc.)
  • Experience implementing wireless protocols of 3GPP standards such as but not limited to LTE, CAT-M1, NB-IoT, 5G, etc.
  • Experience with MATLAB-to-C conversion tools.
  • Experience in working with current telecommunication standards.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
